Yes indeedy, here it is. As part of the effort to push the Birmingham music scene, Scene Not Heard is dipping its toes into the financially fraught but artistically benevolent waters of gig promoting, with the first act being to bring the awesome noise rock bass attack of Leeds lot Castrovalva to the city.

Touring in support of their debut album with Brew Records, We Are A Unit, the band looked like they might have to end up skipping us out, but there was no way I was going to miss this so I've recruited some top local talent in the shape of schizophrenic metallers Soni~Quella and math-rock newcomers Anarchist Cookbook*, and we'll be rocking The Victoria on Sunday, 25 April. You should definitely come, it's going to be a great end to the month.
