Bohemian Jukebox in The City presents...
The Adlibs
Figure One
Flowers of Despair
J. Maiden And The Voice of Evening
As well as the usual quality Alt-folk shenanigans, (this time from The Flowers of Despair and J. Maiden and the Voice of Evening,) we have two of Indie's gems in the form of The AdLibs and Figure One.
The AdLibs
Song-based indie guitar pop in the vein of The Smiths, The Cribs, Gang of Four, The Killers, and Idlewild, Sounds like music you can dance badly to, and not give a shit.
Figure One
Clash-esque Indie with spiky guitars and of staccato lyrics.
The Flowers of Despair
Jesmond’s sweet voice is coupled with Paul’s deadpan delivery of smart and subliminally rude lyrics. They put the A+ back in ‘Alternative’, with quirky, chimey Anti-Folk arrangements.
J. Maiden And The Voice of Evening
Dark and dirg-ey, slow and moving folk-blues sound-scapes from The Black Country’s finest.
